Within the west entrance of the sanctuary is an under-utilized space that will be transformed into an exhibit environment focused on the architectural contributions of Ben Shahn and Max Abramovitz.
This is currently a premier destination for museum visitors who travel from near and far to learn about the works of American Jewish Architect Max Abramovitz and Artist Ben Shahn.
A collection of artifacts and additional exhibits will help build upon telling a larger and more expansive story about the architectural significance of the building and Ben Shahn's Stained Glass Windows.
There will be areas of interpretation, two on each side of the space. Graphic panels, several models, and an interactive sandbox for children that explores the shapes used in the structures. A touch screen allows users to dive a bit deeper into content, with text, video, drawings, and more.
