The primary entrance is at the south end of the building with designated parking for easy access. Signage will be installed on Delaware Avenue, Linwood Avenue, and outside the door to identify the museum.
Upon entering there is a greeting room to the left. Going straight there are exhibit panels on the left and right walls. These provide some background and context for JMB.
"Create an environment that is warm, comfortable, and inviting"
When entering the greeting room, you will immediately notice the name (branding) on the wall behind the counter. The visitor identifies themselves and confirms their tickets and membership opportunities.
The refreshment counter is along the wall near some comfortable seating where there will be coffee, tea, along with some home-baked food from the docents.
An information counter is located on the far side of the room. Visitors are ushered into the next room where a very inspiring 10-12 minute film introduces the subject matter and why it's significant.
A portable exhibit provides information on upcoming events, aspects of the tour, partners and other destinations.
Docents lead the visitors into the small theater that is adjacent to the greeting room. There is a three monitor screen that wraps around the corner of the room. A short film starts that will introduce the museum, what it is about, and what they can expect to see and experience. This builds relevance and interest to the visitor, increasing their interest in the experience. The film is 10-12 minutes in length and at the end, invites the visitor to explore the museum.
